Sydney Nichols is a family nurse practitioner board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned the title of registered nurse after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She graduated summa cum laude and held the distinction of being a Dean's Ambassador. She began her nursing career in an intensive care unit and later moved to the resource pool where she gained a wide range of experience caring for patients within medical surgical and telemetry hospital units, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities.

She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Angelo State University where she graduated with honors and as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

She joined Gastroenterology Practice Associates in January 2019.
